Friday June 29th 2007 - The Ajax Soccer Club, courtesy of The Soccer Connection, were amongst the clubs selected to take part in the "Alan Shearer Camp" hosted by UMBRO Canada this past June 29th. Adam from The Soccer Connection (being the big Shearer and Newcastle fan that he is) was lucky enough to be in the crowd and watch those selected take part in a once in a lifetime opportunity. Players were selected from all over Southern Ontario to train for a day with The Living Legend. Not to be forgotten, the Goalies were also treated to a session with Paul Dolan - Canada's National Team GK Coach who was inducted into the Canadian Soccer Hall of Fame in 2004. Each participant was presented with a special uniform from Umbro marking the occasion, and at the end of the day Alan signed everyone's jersey. A fun time was had by all, and the players left with a little more knowledge handed down to them from the man, the Myth, the LEGEND...Alan Shearer.
